Privacy Policy
How ECHO collects, uses and safeguards information shared with us.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
We respect the privacy of our customers, partners and website visitors. This policy describes our approach to personal information collected through our website and business enquiries.
1. Who we are and scope
ECHO International Trading House (“ECHO”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an industrial raw-material sourcing and trading business based in Bangladesh. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit echobd.org, contact us, request quotations or product information, or communicate with our team.
This policy covers ECHO’s website and related business enquiries. Third-party websites that we link to have their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
When you contact us, we may collect your first and last name, company, business email address, telephone number, country, enquiry category, message, requested product, expected volume, application and any other information you voluntarily provide.
For website operations, we or our service providers may process technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, security logs and form-verification results. If you permit optional analytics cookies or tracking, we may also collect limited page usage and campaign-attribution information.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, financial account details or confidential technical information unless it is necessary and an appropriate secure channel has been agreed.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries; provide requested product, documentation, quotation or sample information; communicate about potential business relationships; administer and protect the website; prevent abuse; keep necessary business records; and meet applicable legal requirements.
We send promotional or marketing messages only where you have chosen to receive them or another lawful basis applies. The marketing checkbox on our enquiry forms is optional, unchecked by default and separate from submitting an enquiry.
4. Grounds for processing
Depending on the activity and applicable law, we process information on the basis of your consent, steps you request before entering into a business arrangement, performance of a contract, applicable legal obligations or another lawful ground. We do not treat the submission of a business enquiry as consent to unrelated marketing.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it through the contact information below. Withdrawal does not necessarily affect processing already carried out lawfully or records we must retain for legal reasons.
5. Cookies, analytics and reCAPTCHA
Our website may use strictly necessary technologies for security and essential functionality. Optional analytics or marketing-related tracking is subject to the choices offered through our cookie controls, where applicable. You may manage these preferences using the Cookie settings control in the website footer.
We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help detect automated and abusive form submissions. When you submit a protected form, Google may process technical information under its own policies. Review Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details.
Browser settings may also let you block or remove cookies, although some website functions may be affected.
6. When information may be shared
We may provide relevant information to authorized staff, suppliers or business partners when necessary to answer your request, evaluate product availability or support a proposed transaction. We may also use service providers for hosting, database storage, website security, analytics (if enabled) and technical maintenance.
These parties should receive only information reasonably necessary for their role and are expected to handle it appropriately. Information may be disclosed where required by applicable law, a lawful request or to protect rights and safety. We do not authorize service providers to use enquiry information for their own unrelated marketing.
7. International processing
ECHO serves international business customers and may use technology providers or correspond with partners outside Bangladesh. As a result, relevant personal information may be processed in other countries. Any cross-border handling must be assessed against applicable law and appropriate safeguards. We do not guarantee that all data is stored in any particular country unless that has been separately confirmed.
8. Security
We aim to protect personal information through appropriate technical and organizational measures, including restricted access, secure transmission, application validation and controlled access to enquiry records. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We review reasonable security concerns and respond as required by applicable law.
Do not send credentials or payment-card information through ordinary enquiry forms.
9. Retention
We retain enquiry and business correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, recordkeeping, disputes, legal compliance or legitimate follow-up, taking account of any applicable statutory retention periods. Retention requirements may differ between enquiry records, contracts, audit logs and backups.
When continued retention is no longer justified, information should be deleted, anonymized or otherwise handled as applicable law requires. ECHO must finalize its operational retention schedule before accepting production enquiries.
10. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on applicable law and circumstances, you may request information about the personal data we hold, access, correction, deletion, restriction, withdrawal of consent or other available rights. Some requests are subject to identity verification and lawful exceptions.
You can opt out of marketing at any time by contacting us at info@echobd.org with the subject “Unsubscribe”. You may still receive necessary responses relating to an existing business enquiry or transaction.
11. Children
This is a business-to-business website intended for professional and commercial enquiries. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly invite children to submit personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in website services, technology or legal requirements. The effective revision date will be shown on this page. Material changes may be communicated through the website or another appropriate channel.
